James I. Williamson was born in 1957 in Fort Knox, Kentucky. His family moved to Springfield, Missouri when he was four, settling in the Ozark Mountains.
James possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Foreign Service from William Jewell College, as well as a Master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of La Verne.
During the 1980s and 1990s, James held multiple roles in sales and marketing within the information technology sector in Silicon Valley, California.
James co-founded and led Sports Management Professionals, managing a men’s professional basketball franchise for five years.
He has worked in correctional education and public-school districts in California, Arizona, and Delaware for the past twenty-five years.
